Nursing Clinical Assessment — Helping Us Ensure Quality

This center provides the methods and tools for assessing a traveler’s competency in a clinical specialty area. Upon completion of the knowledge assessment, the clinician receives immediate feedback. The components of this center are available 24/7/365 with tech support.

Travelers are able to “test out” to demonstrate their knowledge and prevent the practice of repetitive learning of the same content.
The remediation modules designed for 11 clinical specialties are scenario based. They measure content competency & critical thinking skills and are followed by a post - test with an annotated answer key.
Continuing education contact hours are available following completion of each module.
The modules are useful when preparing for certification in a clinical specialty or just keeping abreast of advances in practice.

PBDS: Performance Development System Resource
The Office of the Chief Nursing Officer at Cross Country TravCorps is pleased to present an introduction to the Performance Based Development System (PBDS) assessment for use by both our travel nurses and our corporate staff. PBDS is an assessment tool garnering the attention of our travel nurses. Currently, there are close to 800 hospitals now using this critical thinking tool, both for permanent staff and for travel nurses.

This PBDS resource is available on the Cross Country University website 24-hours a day. Please feel free to read all or part of it in order to satisfy your inquiries about what PBDS is, what it is not, and what to expect when sitting for the assessment.
