The Allen Pavilion
Still in Manhattan but a world away from the fast-paced city life is the neighborhood known as Washington Heights. Billed as being on of the last untapped areas of Manhattan, this community has New Yorkers ditching their Chelsea lofts, East Village studios and West Village walk-thrus for the lower rents and more space. This growing vibrant community deserves a hospital of it's own - The Allen Pavilion of NewYork-Presbyterian.

The Allen Pavilion is a three-story building with 300 beds.

  • It was opened in July 1988 to provide health services for Northern Manhattan and the Bronx.
  • The Emergency Medicine Department of the Allen Pavilion cares for 26,000 patients each year, 5,000 of whom are subsequently admitted for inpatient care.
